Years You Have Left to Live, Probably

Here’s a great time management tool to help inspire yourself to manage this resource (time) better than you probably do now.

The screen shot of the animation demonstrates in a very graphic way the years one probably have left to live. Yes, I added the guy in the kayak – representing me – attempting to have a great, fulfilling time during my last years on the earth. The chances are that I have 20-29 years left (32% chance) or even 30-39 more years! (30% chance).

The data behind the waterfall simulation is from the Social Security Administration. It kind of reminds me of the Verizon commercial with the red balls rolling down the shoot – representing wireless performance across the country. In this case when the ball drops – somewhere along the timeline – you’re done, permanently out of network coverage area so to speak.

Yes, I want to see my potential end of life scenarios played out in an amusing simulation.

I like to use different ways to demonstrate to business owners that time is the only finite resource they have and one that they have 100% complete control over.  It’s an extremely precious resource and it should be protected from being wasted.

Do you guard your time and allow it to be used to your benefit, which by the way should also benefit the common good?

Time is your “precious” resource. Don’t let anyone steal it from you!!
