As you prepare for the upcoming week – be a good shepherd.

Today, May 7th, is Good Shepherd Sunday.

You as a business leader are both sheep and shepherd, a follower and leader. You are a sheep per John 10: 1-10 in that you hear and recognize Christ’s voice and follow Him versus following what the world says is key for your to attain happiness. You are also a shepherd / leader that guides and protects your business through the caring of your employees, vendors, clients and stakeholders. Can they see Christ in your words and actions? Are they drawn to you and your business because they can sense God’s truth and His love for them through you?

“When He (Christ) was insulted, He returned no insult; when He suffered, He did not threaten instead He handed himself over to the one who judges justly. (Peter 2:20b-25).

It’s so much easier for us to say we follow Christ than to actually follow Christ. If all we pay to Christ is lip service “we are a follower of Christ” or we are Christian but don’t really follow Him, will He say that He recognizes us at the time of our death?
