The mind is like a glass tumbler. We are surrounded by dark, negative, sensational and alarming news stories from various sources (phone, TV, Internet). Likewise much entertainment from TV shows to movies have dark tones. All this input is like pouring dirty, muddy water into the glass tumbler of your mind. The worst part is that your mind starts to reflect what it contains. If it contains muddy water it can start to create a dark, gloomy and negative outlook on life. On the other hand pouring clean, fresh and filtered water into the glass represents positive uplifting and inspiring input. It may take a while to flush out and clear your mind of all that muddy water. Since the world bombards you with constant negativity, it’s critical to be continually filling your mind with positive, uplifting information.
