The Myth of the Harvard Goal Setting Study

It just made too much sense not to be true! The oft quoted Harvard Goal Setting Study stated that people who write down their goals are wildly more successful than those who do not. I’m a list guy myself from way back, so I have confirmed (to myself) the validity of this study in my own life every week-end by writing down my goals for Saturday morning.

I’m so much a list guy that if I do something NOT originally not ...

revTech Tuesday  – So, here’s what’s great about REV a transcription service (and more)

I just heard about REV from a business owner who is part of my group. He uses REV for transcriptions of audio files (to Word) and loves it. You can’t beat the price of $1.00 per minute and the whole process is pretty simple.

  • Upload the file to REV

Go Slow To Go Fast – Escriva 822-830

822 You tell me: when the chance comes to do something big, then!… Then? Are you seriously trying to convince me — and to convince yourself — that you will be able to win in the supernatural Olympics without daily preparation, without training?

88512866_500px823 Have you seen how that imposing building was built? One brick upon another. Thousands. But, one by one. And bags ...

When I was a kid, our family drove from Ohio via the Pennsylvania Turnpike to visit relatives in Philadelphia. The turnpike ...

Tech Tuesday – Great stuff for the busy executive. PureText 3.0

puretext

So what do 1970’s rockers do for fun these days? Steve Miller apparently likes to write code between cities on the tour bus. Wait, the coder is Steve P. Miller, the rocker is Steve H. Miller. One churned out some great mid-1970s hit singles like  “Jet Airliner”,  “Jungle Love” and “Abracadabra” while the other churned out free utilities such as “Dependency Walker”, “WinSock Relay”, “Pocket Dial”, and “PureText” all of which ...
